Oakywood Felt & Cork Desk Mat Anthracite Review
I picked up the Oakywood Felt & Cork Desk Mat in Anthracite, 100 x 40, because I wanted something that would add a cleaner and more premium look to my setup. Straight away, it gives the desk a much more refined feel compared with a standard gaming desk mat.
The quality is really good, the anthracite finish looks smart, and it has been a pleasure to use for work. It is not perfect though, especially if you use your mouse directly on the felt surface.

Quick verdict
8/10 – A premium-looking desk mat that instantly makes the setup feel cleaner and more refined. The quality is really good, and it has been great for work, but the felt can occasionally shed and mouse movement has more friction than I would like.
Best for: clean setups, workstations, premium desk aesthetics, and dark RGB themes.
Not for: anyone who wants a fast, smooth mouse surface without using a separate mouse mat.
Tested for: work, daily setup use, typing, mouse use, and overall desk styling.

Final verdict
The Oakywood Felt & Cork Desk Mat in Anthracite is a really nice premium desk upgrade. It looks clean, feels good to use, and adds a much more refined look to the setup. For work and everyday use, I have genuinely enjoyed it.
The only real downsides are the occasional felt shedding and the extra friction when using a mouse directly on the surface. Because of that, I would recommend pairing it with a smaller mouse mat if you want better control. Even with those small issues, I would definitely buy more Oakywood products in the future.
Score: 8/10 – a premium-looking desk mat that is excellent for work and setup aesthetics, but better when paired with a separate mouse mat.
