My review process

I review gear the same way I use it: in my real setup, over real sessions, with real photos. This page explains how I test, what I measure, and how I stay honest.

Real use

I test in my own setup for gaming, daily work, and content creation — not a sterile benchmark only.

What matters

Comfort, build quality, performance, value, and whether it improves the setup experience.

Honest verdict

Pros and cons every time. If it’s not worth your money, I’ll say it — even if it’s popular.

What to expect in my reviews

I keep a consistent format so you can skim quickly and still get the full picture.

  • Real photos in my setup
  • Key specs that actually matter
  • What I liked and didn’t like
  • Recommended for / not for
  • Who should buy it (and why)
  • Whether I’d buy it again

How I test gear

Not every product needs weeks of testing, but every review follows the same steps so you know what to expect.

1) Unbox + setup

Build quality, packaging, included accessories, software install, and first impressions.

2) Daily use

Used in my real setup across gaming, work, and editing to spot annoyances and wins.

3) Measure + compare

Comfort, responsiveness, battery, software, and how it stacks up against similar gear I’ve used.

4) Verdict

Clear pros/cons, who it’s for, who should skip it, and whether I’d buy it again.

How I score products

Scores are a guide — the written verdict matters most. I score based on real use, not just specs.

Categories

  • Build quality
  • Comfort / ergonomics
  • Performance / responsiveness
  • Software / features
  • Value for money

What the score means

  • 9–10: Outstanding, easy recommendation
  • 7–8: Strong, small trade-offs
  • 5–6: Okay, but better options exist
  • 0–4: Not recommended

Transparency & ethics

  • I buy most gear myself. If something is gifted, loaned, or sponsored, I’ll clearly say so in the review.
  • Affiliate links support the site, but they never change the score or verdict.
  • If I haven’t used it enough to give a fair verdict, I’ll label it as “first impressions”.
  • I don’t do paid positive reviews. If a product has issues, they will be in the cons.

If you’re a brand and want to work together, use my Work With Me page for collabs, gifting, and review requests.

FAQ

Do you accept sponsored reviews?

I may accept sponsorships, but I never promise a positive outcome. If a review is sponsored, it will be clearly labelled.

How long do you test products for?

It depends on the product. I’ll always state the testing period in the review so you know how much real use is behind the verdict.

Can I request a product review?

Yes. If you’re a brand, use my Work With Me page. If you’re a reader, message me on Instagram and I’ll add it to my backlog.
