Govee x Evangelion LED Glide Lights Review

I bought the Govee x Evangelion LED Glide lights to add a bit of atmosphere for gaming and work, without overdoing it. I chose Govee over other brands because the quality is solid, the setup is simple, and I can connect it to Alexa and use voice commands to switch it on and off.

Quick verdict

7/10 – It’s not cheap, but the quality is there. The LEDs are bright, look consistent even when left on for long hours, and the Alexa voice control for switching on and off is genuinely useful. It’s ideal for anyone who wants subtle but stylish lighting for a gaming or work setup.

Best for: adding clean ambience to a setup and quickly switching it on/off by voice.

Not for: anyone after budget LEDs or expecting advanced voice controls beyond basic on/off.

Tested for: long sessions during gaming, working, and chill lighting.

Final verdict

It’s expensive for LED lights, but the quality is spot on and the customisability of the colours means you can dial it in for whatever you’re doing — gaming atmosphere, focus mode while working, or a chilled vibe in the background. The Alexa on/off voice control is a nice bonus too, even if it’s limited. I would buy this again.

Next update: I’ll revisit this after more long-term use and update the score if anything changes.
